Supreme Court Decisions.
Recently some of the decisions handed down from the Supreme Court have been based upon "Foreign Laws, UN International Criminal Court, and apparently the perceived "mood" of the nation.
Our Supreme Court Justices took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. This is the document which "is" to be used to base "all" court cases. Absolutely no where does the "Oath and Constitution" allow for interpretation based on anything else.
Write your Congressman and Senators and remind them to fulfill their oath's to "Uphold" the Constitution!
John Bolton
This issue of the selection of John Bolton as our ambassador to United Nations shows the true attitude of our government toward the UN. It also shows that our representatives (for the most part) are "NOT" living up to their oath's to uphold our Constitution.
The actions of the United Nations clearly works to diminish our Declaration of Independence, Our Constitution, and Our Bill of Right's. Yet these people elected to protect these ideals get us deeper and deeper into entanglement with the UN.
With the overall attitude of the UN towards the United States we need someone who can and will stand up "FOR" us. Instead of kissing up to them. And our Senator's are worried about John Bolton being "nice" enough?? Any Ambassador has got to have the ability to stand up when called upon...not be worried about hurting their feelings
Let your Senator know you want someone tough enough to do the job. You do not want someone who will bend to every whim of the UN.
Laws of the Sea Treaty "LOST"
Senate Foreign Relations Chairman, Richard Lugar (R-IN) is pushing with the backing of the White House, the LOST Treaty. This treaty is another attempt at giving away our nations sovereignty. This treaty gives all control of seabed resources to an International body, called the International Seabed Authority (ISA).
Signing this treaty gives the ISA the power to levy taxes, and determine who will develope these discovered resources. It would deny the possibility of United States private enterprise using and developeing the resources discovered. This would be given to third world enterprise's simply by the verbage within the treaty.
This treaty would deny the United States the right to defend itself by denying our ships and subs the ability to gather intellegence.
We do not need this treaty! Tell your Representative so!!!
Arizona's Vigilante's ?
This is a good One! Our President tells us that we need to do all that is necessary to protect our nation and its people. Then cuts the funding for our biggest security breakdown in the whole effort.
President Bush, Condelesa Rice, and President Fox of Mexico call this effort by "law abiding" citizens illegal! They are called "Vigilane's" in the worst sense of the word. In truth they are Vigilante's in the context that they are vilgilant and have significantly reduced the flow of illegals into the country. The Border Patrol has admitted that they cannot cover this area in Arizona to prevent the flow of illegal aliens crossing into the United States.
This issue is beyond just illegals crossing into the United States! This is really about the NAFTA Treaty. This treaty has enabled the participants to exploit the workers in the U.S.. Through this treaty industry has moved out of this country and thereby creating unemployment. With the influx of illegals it takes away the jobs available. It encourages the true agenda of the NAFTA Treaty to create a one government of Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
WE need to tell our Representatives that they need to do their job...protect us, protect our nation, and protect our workers!
Fillibuster's
While I do not like "fillibuster's" right now because they are blocking Judical Nominee's I would like to see on the bench, I do not think it is a good idea to eliminate the process. It is a fact that the Republicans used this very tactic when they were the minority. Now that they are the majority they do not like it.
Of course the problem is not fillibuster's but rather "Partisan Politics". We have Democrats against Republicans! We need to get past this sort of thing and get to putting the best people in our courts. It is about upholding the Constitution not about liberal versus conservative. If we are interpretating the Constitution correctly it goes by the law not an attitude or agenda.
If a nominee is qualified they should be approved. It is difficult to say this but I think if the "fillibuster tactic" is removed, we then limit the process to govern our Republic. Check's and Balance's!
